Our Local area

We welcome dogs and other animals by arrangement in The Barn and The Cottage. The Granary is pet free. North Devon is a fantastic spot to explore with your dog.

Veilstone Moor – just 3 mins away – is beautiful with a mix of woodland and grassland. Stunning walks though ancient forests in Powlers Piece can be found just a 5 minute drive away too.

If your dog loves the beach, there are lots close by to let them run wild on.  Some of our favourites are: Buck Mills, Westward Ho! Instow, Fremington Quay and Watermouth.

And of course, being deep in the North Devon countryside means that simply walking from Great Eckworthy is peaceful and very scenic on extremely quiet roads.

We do ask that you adhere to a few rules when bringing your pets to Great Eckworthy to ensure we can offer the same fantastic experience to all of our guests. Please do ask if you have any questions before your visit.
