From the minute you arrive at Gt Eckworthy you are left in no doubt that your cottage is going to be fabulous (we were in The Barn).
Anna and Chris greeted us with such warmth and showed us round our beautiful cottage and garden, it was immaculate and so well equipped, we wanted for nothing. The sitting room was so cosy, we had a blazing log fire going when it was a bit chilly in the evenings. The bathrooms were spotless, as were the comfy bedrooms – we all slept very well even on the first night, sinking into luxurious bed linens – it was all just perfect!
Our little dog, Summer, was also very well catered for, everything you would have needed had you not brought you own bed etc.
The outside was just as good, a super hot tub, dining and lounging furniture and a BBQ for those warm summer evenings. There’s plenty of space in the adjoining fields to exercise both the dog and yourselves, with far reaching views across the countryside.
Does this all sound too good to be true? Well it’s not! It’s a gem of a place with hosts that go that extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect.
